Located at the southeast corner of Vollmer Road and Dixie Highway, this open-air market will be open every Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 P.M. throughout the Summer, rain-or-shine, until September 29th. Vendors, Farmers, Growers, Artisans, Bakers and Distributors will be on-hand selling their goods. Admission is Free! Stop by and see the seasonal offerings for sale. CITYWIDE CLEAN-UP: Mayor David A. Gonzalez, Clerk Lori Wilcox, Treasurer Jim Dee and the City Council invite you to join them at the City’s 4th Annual Citywide Clean-Up this Saturday, June 9th, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. Volunteers are asked to meet at 9:00 a.m. in the City Hall Parking Lot, 1601 Chicago Road, to pick-up cleaning supplies. Come help take part in creating a greater sense of community and have fun in keeping our City clean. Lunch will be provided. Thank You! |

The Chicago Heights Historic Preservation Advisory Committee (CHHPAC) is proud to partner with Union Street Gallery to once again co-host this year’s “Driving The Dixie” (Highway) Classic Car Cruise from Blue Island to Momence and all the stops in-between. Many classic cars from Model A Ford’s to today’s modern machines will Cruise Down Dixie Highway to celebrate this historic route. This year’s Chicago Heights stop will be at The Union Street Gallery, 1527 Otto Boulevard); slightly off the Dixie path, but all the more fun to motor to! All are welcome to come by and see these classic cars come through our great City. The Gallery will be open from 10a-to-4p and the cars are expected to pass through between 10a-and-Noon.
